In order to be ahead of Honda’s competitor motorcycle, Yamaha Brazil chose to release a new model prior to the CG160’s announcement. According to what I understand, this model is known as the Factor 150. Let’s check out the upgrades this bike has made to rival the CG160!
The Factor 2025’s look makes me think of the Fz-S, which was very popular before the TFX or MT15 came out. The slim body and seat design, along with the high-mounted fuel tank, give the Factor 150 2025 a sporty appearance without sacrificing aerodynamic efficiency.
The headlamp is one of this bike’s features that I enjoy. The bike has a unique and striking appearance thanks to its contemporary design and two LED daytime running lights.
The Factor 150’s dimensions are as follows: 1,325 mm for the wheelbase, 2,015 mm for the overall length, 750 mm for the width, and 1,095 mm for the height. The seat height is 785 mm, while the ground clearance is 170 mm. These measurements show that the bike is a good fit for Asian riders, providing a small and maneuverable ride that is perfect for city settings.
Updated reports from Brazilian media claim that the bike has LED illumination installed. The Factor 150 2025’s digital dashboard has been updated with a “Blackout” LCD panel that includes a gear indication and ECO capabilities. The premium version (DX model) will have a USB charging port.
The current version still has a braking system with a 130 mm rear drum brake and a 245 mm front disc brake for safety reasons. Although ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), which is increasingly common on many vehicles, is not featured, the manufacturer has incorporated a UBS (Unified Braking System) that distributes braking force between the front and rear wheels.
The bike’s suspension system, which consists of two 111 mm shocks at the back and a 120 mm telescopic fork up front, is identical to that of the previous model save from the braking system. With Michelin Pilot Street 2 tires measuring 80/100-18M/C 47S up front and 100/80-18M/C 59S down back, both wheels have 18-inch alloy rims.
The Yamaha Factor 150 2025’s 150cc engine still generates a maximum output of 12 horsepower at 7,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 12.7 Nm. This engine’s output has been lowered by 0.4 horsepower in comparison to the 2024 variant. With this modification, the Factor 2025 is better able to comply with Brazil’s new emission standards, which will take effect in 2025.
The Factor 150 2025’s official price has not yet been disclosed. But according to the media, this model will be reasonably priced to rival the new Honda CG160. Both the base model and the premium (DX) model are anticipated to be on the market in January 2025. How do you feel about the design of the Yamaha Factor 150? Tell us what you think!
